Union County Board of Elections

YCH Architects is currently working with the Union County Board of Elections to design renovations and a building addition and to their existing outdated and undersized facility. The 7,200 square foot existing building will be completely renovated in three phases while remaining in full operation. The design of the 5,500 square foot building addition will be included as part of phase one.

Due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic, the check-in/reception window and lobby design is of primary importance to meet CDC and best practice safety guidelines, while still maintaining visual one-on-one contact with citizens. The design and use of technology also allow for social distancing and primarily touch-less transfer of information and documentation.
