Renovations to the Auditorium and Science Buildings at Piedmont High School included new interior finishes throughout, new HVAC systems, and modern LED Lighting. Both buildings were initially constructed in the 1960s and had been left virtually untouched until this renovation. A key component to the success of the Auditorium portion was the improvement of the overall acoustics. The addition of acoustical ceiling reflectors and sound absorbent wall panels provides better natural acoustics and controls reverberation times within the audience chamber. The Science Building portion included a complete reconfiguration of the prep rooms and interior circulation system. These updates provide more efficient use of the interior spaces and a safer environment for both students and educators.
