Located in downtown Concord, the Cabarrus County Governmental Center has served as the center of the county government for over 25 years. During this time, the county population has more than doubled, with no significant renovations or additions to the facility. The building houses many essential government departments, including the Commissioner’s Chambers, which is designed for acoustic clarity, audiovisual capabilities, and television recording. In addition, the center includes a two-story integrated public and secure parking deck, various customer service areas, general offices, conference rooms, and permanent archives, including a large records vault.
