The New Sanctuary building for First Baptist Church of Concord is built in the Georgian Revival style. The new addition is comprised of numerous classrooms, a choir rehearsal room, a music library, support spaces and the new main sanctuary. The New Sanctuary is a 1,000 seat auditorium that is designed to serve multiple functions on top of the traditional Sunday sermon delivery. The traditional crucifix plan of the Georgian Style requires additional acoustical attention to allow for the Sanctuary to function as multipurpose spaces.
